Ministry Opportunities
Worship Teams
New Life has many areas for people to be involved in helping to lead worship as part of a worship team - either as singers, keyboard players, guitarists, drummers or other instrumentalists. Worship teams rotate and lead worship once a month. They generally practice the Monday evening before the Sunday that they lead worship.
Special Music
Vocalists and instrumentalists also have the opportunity to provide music ministry at New Life by offering a solo as a special number or by being part of a small ensemble that provides special music for one of our worship services.
Drama Teams
Dramas are used as a part of worship to set-up or enhance the worship theme for the day.
Sound Technician
Sound production is one of the most important aspects of worship. Those with a knowledge of sound equipment (or a desire to learn) and a good ear are invited to serve in this area. Training is provided.
Projection
During our worship services all of our songs, sermon outlines, announcements and pictures are projected using Power Point or a program called Sunday Plus. This too, is a very important part of worship. Some knowledge of computers is required. Training is provided.
Fellowship Team
Every Sunday morning we serve coffee & lemonade between our services. We also have our noon meal together a few times each year.
Greeters/Hand out Bulletins
Each Sunday morning as you walk into New Life you are greeted by fellow church attenders. And as you proceed into the Worship Center you are handed a bulletin. Would you like help in one or both of these areas? No talent required - just a smile!
Prayer Chapel
During each of our morning services there is someone in the Prayer Chapel praying specifically for each part of the worship service.
Family Night Meal Serving Team
During the school year we serve a meal before our Wednesday night activities begin to help busy families. Currently we have 3 teams our take turns serving our meal and helping clean up the kitchen.l
Nursery
Nursery is provided during each service on Sunday and during our Wednesday night activities. Nursery on Sunday is for ages 0-2yrs old. For those 2 years old and older there are other options (see below). On Wednesday night nursery is available for those children who are not old enough to attend classes. Anyone 12 yrs and older is welcome to help.
Little Lambs
Little Lambs is a story/activity time for 2 year-olds. Children are dismissed during the worship service while the offering is being received. During Little Lambs the children are read stories from the Bible and then have activities that relate to the story that was read. We are always looking for adults to read the story and others who can help the children with their activities.
Children in Worship
Children in Worship is for 3-5 year-olds and is provided during both morning worship services. Children are dismissed during the offering for their own worship service. They listen to a Bible story and then make some crafts or have activities which correlate to the story. We always welcome anyone who is interested in being a storyteller or helper.
Sunday School Teachers
Our Sunday School classes meet during the school year. We have classes for Pre-K age through Adults.
